Queenie is a way of life! My childhood was inspired by three crafty (and important!) ladies in my life, my mother, aunt and grandmother. I still love to make stuff.

A new Queenie is coming...
So Queenie has been plugging along in her little space and doing pretty well. At the end of February, she'll be moving...but not far! The back room at the Seed will be getting a major overhaul as space is made for some new renters (very exciting!) and Queenie will be shifting about 6 feet over towards the side wall. Not a big move, I know, but there will be lots more space for lots more good stuff.
I just revamped everything and there are a few Valentine's Day inspired items. The free gift this month is fun gold heart earrings on red plastic hooks. I found the hooks at a local craft store last year and thought they might be good for people with metal issues/allergies, but they look fun too! Come down and check them out. I'm going to try to offer some little GWP (gift with purchase) every month just to say thanks to my shoppers.
By far the best thing that has happened with Queenie this month is that the store owner spotted a Queenie bag in a movie theater! I know, right? Pretty amazing! She went to a movie at the big Newington theater and noticed the woman next to her had a vintage bag that looked familiar. Sherry asked her about it and turns out she bought it from me last summer! I've been waiting for this to happen--spotting something I've made or sold being worn out in the real world. Well, by someone other than my mom (Love you Maymie!! :) ) Very very satisfying.
